No I use my iPad for 12+ hours a day at home and at school I never get bored of it.
I doubt iOS 5 will include widgets like Android but honestly I don’t care about them I am always in my apps and not on my home screen when using my iPad.

IPhones come out once a year. If the new iPhone is released in September, the next iPhone will not be released until summer 2012. The 2011 iPhone will not be a major upgrade. The next major upgrade is expected in summer 2012.
You should try out the iPad and the Galaxy to see which you prefer.

ok, so i have been exploring tablets and i think i have narrowed it down to the galaxy tab 10.1 and the ipad 2, so, my question is, will these last about 4-5 years? or what is the longest these two tablets will last before they shut off for the last time?

The galaxy tab 10.1 is a much better choice. It will be outdated in a year, but will work for probably over 4 years if you treat it right. Look at the asus eee pad transformer before you buy!!!
