Which brand of notebook case backpack is better?
the sport backpacks for 17” notebooks
I have no problems with Targus.
Core Duo, Pentium M, Pentium 4, AMD Turion 64 please help, buying a new laptop?
Please help me.
I’m trying to decide between:
a used Fujitsu Lifebook N6010 17” with Pentium M 3.2ghz, Hyper Thread Technology, 80gb 1 gb-ram, 80gn hdd, xp-home for $795
a used Dell Precision M60 Laptop 15.4″ screen Pentium M 1.86ghz, 80gb hdd, 1.5gb ram, dedicated 128mb graphics card, xp professional for $640
a used NEC Versa p7200 with a carry case, Centrino Duo 1.8ghz, 1gb ram, 120gb hdd, 15.4″ screen, xp-professional for $600
a used Excel Model D47EV with a carry case, 17” screen, 120GBHD 2GBRAM Pentium 4 3.2Ghz, 120gb hdd, xp-pro for $685
or a brand new HP 6515b with finger print security, AMD Turion™ 64 2.20 GHz 1gb ram, 80gb hdd, 14.1″ screen, Windows Vista® Business for $670.00.
Your opinion is greatly appreciated. I’d mostly want this Notebook for University but I also want to play some top end games. Good battery life is important as well.
Top end games, good battery life, university
nice balance you have to strike … Sortta walking the tight rope
a few points i thought of highlighting
i. A used system will be dicey at least as far as battery life, assuming the rest of the system to be neat and span
ii. 15.4″ is about the right screen size. 17″ will drain your batteries besides being too heavy to lug around
iii. Good graphics is essential for gaming as also ample ram
iv. A good processor > ‘core 2 duo’ or high end ‘turion’
from most of the systems you have posted, i gather windows xp should suffice in which case your resources are intact for your applications. Vista is a resource monger, but please check out that your games can run on directx 9 ; cause only vista offers you directx 10
dell being freely configurable, thought of building one for you

Which of these laptops is the best? Going to be a college student…?
I know nothing about laptops…please let me know what you think.
Don’t say to just get an apple either…i am not that big of a fan of apple…
I am kind of looking at HP computers right now…If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know…
My mom wants to buy it for me on her QVC credit card so that is why all of them are from QVC’s website…If anyone wanted to look through all of them on there and let me know any other computers that are good from the website let me know… Thank you so much.
The first Laptop would be the best choice. It has a 64bit OS, more memory and it is the cheapest of the three. The second Laptop is nice but, AMD tends to heat up a lot and the extra 100 dollars is not worth the 100MHz CPU speed increase.
Toshiba makes decent Laptops. I have a Toshiba A105. It’s older but it has never failed me which is why I like Toshiba.
Will this Computer configuration for an ibuypower computer work?
